Conversations on a Monday

When I woke up this morning I said to myself that I should sleep early next time, so I wont feel washed out everytime I wake up! I said that too yesterday and it's bad enough that it's a Monday morning and I was up 'till 2:45 a.m. (not cool.) So my husband goes:

-What did I tell you about sleeping so late?

and I go,

-Well...

Trying to make sensible reasons in my head ...

-Well... if you have done the dishes last night I could have written my blog earlier, surfed through facebook and launched all the applications I've signed up to.

He looked at me as if I was talking Martian.

-OOPPSS...

Realizing that it wasn't the smartest thing to say, I beamed a toothy smile at him ...

It was really my turn to do some chores yesterday but I just wanted to see if I can get away with it. Who knows, he sometimes let me! hmmppff ... yep, my head feels floating and my eyes dry and heavy...

"Who ever invented Mondays?!"

"But you know what? I can live with TWO mondays in a week!" I said while opening the windows to a bright Monday morning.

"... just make all the other days Saturday!"

My husband chuckled.

"...and who ever invented work?"

as my brain automatically processes informative reasons that we need to work even if I was thinking of how good life must be if there are no companies to work for and we all just have to TRADE in goods like sweet potatoes or something ... my brain asks:

"...and where will the sweet potatoes come from?"

-"argghh. I still need to farm them."

-"Farm what?" husband confused.

-"the sweet potatoes." as I scrabble the closet for what to wear.

Then my life with computers and buildings are better than farming the sweet potatoes I was hoping to barter. Farming is a tough job, I would've loved to farm if it will be shady all day! Since, I love earth, the smell of earth, the smell of wet grass, collecting slimy worms, to see sprouts ... the closest thing I came up with here in our city apartment is owning 3 potted plants that stand on the bathroom window... how sad. I wish I could have more ... but I give those little greens all the love they need. I sprinkle them water everyday making sure that their soil is just the perfect moist and placing them back on the window sill to get enough sunlight. (There goes my farming skills) ...

I did my stretch, I watched my morning show, took my shower, dressed for work and did my make up ... husband ... waiting.

We grabbed coffee and off to work.

If ever you wonder how I make it through the day without sleeping/drooling all over my desk at work, I listen to this station check it out, they have the coolest people on board: magic 89.9

ciao!

me: a guide to consumerism

Family is super important to me that I got myself a new plan for a mobile network, besides the fact that I already have one and been using it since I was still in school and riding on my parents' bill. =) But now that I've been working and all, I still keep the old number and got a new one, so I'd never be out of reach!!! That is how I want my family to get to me ... be always on the other side of the line.

Viola this morning! no signal. You see, whenever I open a topic that way ... there is something wrong! haha ... I never get to open a topic and be all good... okay, that is not true! Well, what can be more interesting than writing a blog about being a vigilant customer who's not getting her money's worth! Everyone who is paying for a service deserves and should demand of no less than the BEST!

(Sales and Bargains included!)

However in this case, my mobile network wont allow me to call and text anyone! 'Getting myself another phone so they could reach me anytime gives me NO EXCUSE not to do it! So I bet they are expecting, my family and friends that's who ... dum-di-dum-di-dum-dum-dum ... nope! still no signal! Everyone who's using the same network has none... So, I'm not an isolated case. I'm calling customer service!

Anyway, here are the juicy parts of my Customers gone Mad post. (spotlight please!) So, here's a friend of mine who's husband is probably a jinxed customer ... he always gets an issue over food. One time, they bought popsicles. The popsicle comes from a famous and long-standing brand, that getting shreds of wooden popsicle stick embedded in your crunchy, chocolate popsicle is very surprising! ... and ... bewildering! Imagine getting splinters on your tongue! ... yikes! ... and some of his experiences would be: getting a roach inside a Coke bottle with cap still on and pebbles on his steak! Yeah pebbles. Well, we urged them to sue these companies but you know that the process is long and you need all these eye witnesses BUT it'd be worth millions! OH jeez! hehe ... yeah not that really! BUT it's all about getting safe products to use, especially for food to be safe and clean to consume!

Well, we are honest, paying customers here, our money comes from hard work and time away from our families, SO when we buy something, we need to be keen on quality. Most especially when the item does NOT come cheap or comes without warranty ... clothes doesn't come with warranty or shoes ... ??? I have none with warranty. So I check. check. check. Before paying ... so I don't have to go back and have a refund or exchange ... the hassle!

And lastly, it's best to shop with someone, who'll honestly give you their opinion. Remember! eyewitnesses! hehe

SO ciao for now. Happy shopping...AND don't get two plans on the same mobile network! 'cuz when they are busted, both of your phones wont work!!! grr...
