Randomness is pretty.

Once done stoking the fire till it chokes, I should be well moving on, but the good vibes aren't chanting my song...I want to hear it tell me the certain and not just the thrills of a new beginning. I want it to tell me that everything I planned and hoped for will come true. Uhm...yeah, I'm mad to say I want and I want things definite right now, I don't want second guessing things and get stuck in the middle. Look I'm 29 I should have lessened my growing up years by half! But seems like I plan to live up to 200 that I've got lots of growing up to do and I'm nowhere near adulthood!!! How am I supposed to become a mom when I need a mom myself!!!! Ugh... Mom? Don't do the wide grin, I know you want me to be 5 forever but... Hey I got a wonderful husband that needs me to be 29 :) he's 30 and he's old, lucky me he's old. I get fed and the household budget is safe. I'm just for the floor mopping and ironing clothes, and the dishes but the rest including the laundry is a "take-turns" duty... I can't be left alone or I'll starve!!! .... Ok now thats a lie! KFC has a number for a reason such as me and people like me...

Anyway stop grinning at back of your heads and feel sorry for me now. Oh haha. Nah, kidding. I'll survive and can brave it all. I just want people around and make them feel needed, if mom wants to show me how to mend our burnt shirts from all the ironing I did, I let her... She's a mom, we need moms! She knows all things. She never runs out of money and her budget is always good... How does she do it, I don't know. She always smell nice and keeps her face moisturized! I used to watch her when I was young how she does her face and put on her lipstick... Even at times when she's just going to do the laundry, she's powdered and cologned! Classic.

How come I just do laundry straight out of bed! Oooow! Are you supposed to know that?

Anyway friends, I'm always out of the box, never seem to be in sync with anything, but that's okay, sometimes the randomness makes it all pretty, so yes... Even if I don't know what's ahead I'm counting on sheer guts and your prayers :)

Love from here,

Sassy

Some days

Are like this when you get to challenge yourself to be good and struggle with all your might to present yourself nicely? You fail.

I'm trying to be good. I'm trying to be someone who will be taken by others positively. I wanna be that rainbow aura that
everybody loves at first sight.

Well... We can't please everybody that's what they say all the time. No matter how the great majority adores you there'll be some who'll want to tear your gutts out! So beware not to get close or they'll tear your gutts out you, hear me! Just stay clear and say the things they want to hear, you can only be too honest to people who are your friends and they won't lie when they say they hate what you said! But to these people who aren't even your friends but dare to hurt your feelings... Be nice. If you still have loyal friends with you it means you're good. So don't let them get you down.

loyal friend,
Sassy

The Gorgeousness

I have real insecurities though it's hard to tell cuz I don't really mind being seated in between two gorgeous models in the gym looking so out of place that people could wonder what kind of nerve has grown on me that I don't budge.

Anyway, yes you can tell me about the inner beauty that matters, but...my insecurity has nothing to do with that aspect, at Ieast I know within myself that I'm a "loving" kind of person... Teehee...hee. what I have is an insecurity that could only be caused by a tall, slimmer figure and gorgeous brains. yes! They are everywhere, I've known one brilliant surgeon who's real beauty on the outside doesn't hurt. Witty, charming, elegant and all that fabulousness were cast upon her and I wasn't there when the "casting" spell happened to human kind.

But anyway, the point of it all is just to love who you are and be your best self. The only person who can live your life is you. So take it as it is because for sure, there will be more times in your life when you'll get to meet people who seem to have it all. Instead of cursing the mirror, why not just let them be in their fabulous selves and you be your best self. I need effort to be beautiful cuz I wasn't blessed with a perfect complexion and that forever long legs! I do take time moisturizing everyday and flossing, cuz some can be just devastatingly beautiful even if they had just woke up with rustled hair and puffy eyes... They could still land that Ralph Lauren campaign I tell you!

So yes, imma be my best self. I love me, don't you just love you?

Have a happy Friday!

love from Manila,
Sassy

looove thy neighbors.

oh those karaoke! I like. I like. But tonight ...could you pleeaasse stop now, you neighbor you 'cuz you've been singing the whole day and the rain wont stop! Yes, I do blame you for that... as we all say whenever someone's belting out a song in a not so pleasing way ... we blame the rain on you, YOU! stop now. sshhh...end.

(sigh) ... This is the only time that I wish there'll be a power interruption or something, I mean the whole day is not a joke, you could sing in the afternoon ... but then, I'd be doing my siesta, alright, sing in the morning ... but then I'd rather not wake up in a bad mood ... OK so let the neighbor sing at night ... hmmnn... nah. NO way ... just quit it neighbor, my schedule wont allow you!

These "portable" karaoke machines, jazzes up gatherings without effort and now that we invented a portable version of it (that's smaller than a CD player and operates with just a microphone!) Every household now got one ... it's like a refrigerator ... it's a MUST. You wouldn't have a party without it, trust me ... if you don't have it, the neighbor will lend you, just so you could.

AND here, it's not like anywhere else when it comes to expression of selves and fun, you can be as loud as you can for as long as you are in your homes, or yard, or within the boundaries you own, regardless if anyone else is annoyed by it (e.g. ME.) ... though of course there are LAWS about it, that you can be reported for disrupting the peace and order of the community ...BUT that is SELDOM practiced here, nobody really calls the police or the "barangay tanods" (town security) to knock on your neighbors door and tell them that they're making too much noise and that it pisses you! It'll be far complicated when you do that, unless you're moving to another town the next day.

BUT, in everyday ... it somehow works. Our patience with our neighbors are enhanced, we do let it pass and NEVER count the times that we annoy each other. After all, we do have these kind of moments too, when we sing our hearts out and nobody bothers us, blasting music and all!

...Unlike when I stayed in Italy that I just left my light on one night and the old lady next to my apartment came by to discuss it with me ... in Italian! Which obviously leaves me doing huge amounts of hand/arm/feet gestures just to make my point ... uhmm, can I call a friend? like it's the Million Dollar round already!

hmmnn...WELL, neighbors. We all have them, far and near. We cannot actually choose our neighbors can we? ... I've had sooo many neighbors in my life ... and here in my country, we treat our neighbors like extensions of our family, we love and hate them but we try to live with them...as "peacefully and harmoniuosly" as possible ... though, yeah I mind those high-pitch songs that sounded like galvanized roofing being ripped apart!!! ugh... I'll deal.

yes... I'll deal. Don't worry.

New Found Respect for Kaba Modern and Badgley's Valentine...

That's a lot to take! haha ... but yeah, as I spent my day browsing the internet besides loading the washing machine once more with dirty laundry, cooking my meal and watching tv.... I was browsing the net! I'm a young wife of 28 "young" right...at least in my head I've never aged since 20!haha, I'm still into this hip hop thing, rock music and glossy, glam-rock fashion. So last night I watched a new show on hiphop dancing, break dancing and I got to see Kaba Modern ... name recall... they are a group that also competes in the World Hip Hop Championship like the Philippine All Stars (who were the winners of 2006 and 2008)... I'm a big fan.... so anyway, Kaba Modern did great, I was awestruck by the moves and for the Asian girls who until now I couldn't relate how they did it, looked like petite korean/japanese/filipino ... not sure which but moved like they were from a trasnformer movie! They were great, so I did my own research out of curiosity... googled Kaba Modern and viola! A website. I learnt that they're a dance group formed for a "Pilipino Culture Night" modern presentation in 1992 and since then for 15 years they got new members out of auditions and still performing great!

I like the fact that they are sharing their talent in dancing and develops a passion for it. You know it's good to be reminded of youth and energy!haha... I got very nostalgic about my highschool days, when I'm also a part of dance groups and practicing all weekend... hmmnn... memories...

....moving on to Badgley my PET in Facebook, oh! she's got a valentine ... another PET called CreamPuff, I spent time doing screenshots so we could join a Valentine contest in Facebook for PETS, it's alright, it keeps me busy and I like dressing her up... so after about 20+ screenshots, a few editing, were ready, I'll show my shots of them to my friend Marc who owns CreamPuff and decide which one's are our entry.

so, ciao! bouna notte!

i miss and love Ramil... see him soon!!!

Finding myself a thought....and a Song.

Well, for not so very inspiring reason, I'm trying to recap a few things about how this day went. Besides the fact that my "center-of-the universe/slash/husband" is still in Malaysia for some business trip he had to take, I'm here left with my "wonderings"! ... and well, nothing came vividly so far. If I may start with how I was teary-eyed listening to the song we first danced to as husband and wife matters, then I will tell you about it ...so, I plugged an earphone, scrolled all the way to the song I ought to listen for the first time since our wedding and then pressed PLAY ... the moment I heard the intro to the song, I was overwhelmed and somehow equally delighted as to the first time we danced to it!... I was teary-eyed and emotional... and this, if you ask me happened while I was in a public transpo...where co-passengers would dare not ask what's wrong with my twitching face and heavy breathing, but rather was very amused as if any moment I will belt out the song I was listening to! I'm not crazy!!!

The song is a familiar one, Boyzone has a version of it though, obviously I like the old, country version. Very pure, very loving and very -memorable. It's a song that I'll never get tired of listening no matter how it's screwing up my emotions in anytime, anyplace!haha... I've developed a total attachment to it and will probably never outgrow it... it's special...it's our song.

Filipino Pride: Philippine All Stars

I recently watched (again!) the Philippine All Stars in the Hip-Hop International 2008 competition in YouTube...and boy oh boy! they're so good that watching it for the -nth time is not enough, I'm still swooning over their moves and I really have to say this in Filipino: "P***I***, ang galing nyo!" and its coming from my heart with all my love and support. *wink*wink*

As not to be biased though, I've watched the other competitors and they are pretty good too! I must say that winning a competition like that having to compete with the world's best isn't easy BUT I sure know what made the P'All Stars a winner...they've got class... they were sleek, they were edgy, they were...well, all that sort!!!

And perhaps to compare amongst the others, I've seen the Americans work their way to get even with the Filipinoes, but just couldn't. I think it was their choice of music that it was becoming boring and boring as their routine continues, and 'twas also their outfits that were like... hmmnn... I'm not sure but they looked like ... I don't know, Hotdogs? alright! wrinkly hotdogs! I mean, all those snappy moves got lost inside those super baggy clothes, it was just too heavy to look at...plus the hair of the girls...P'All Stars did that before, it worked for them but... I don't think the Americans did as well with the BIG hair!!! Anyway, I should continue on and discuss the guys from New Zealand, The Prestige... well, snappy? check. edgy?check. oiginal?... NO!!! Definitely NOT. I've seen them compete before and anyone can see that they've immediately evolved into becoming more and more like caucasian P'All Star members! They are good too but I don't know somehow all the competitors seem to have "recycled" what P'All Stars did from the past...the "motorcycle" thing? hey... everyone knows where it was seen first! It was just too painful to watch that I did not continue watching them.

...and so, my world could've been a better place IF all the competitors did their homework and "formulated" some new moves, and came out in their own image and not like P' All Star wannabes! They all got talent, they all got the skill... just have some originality, it will be more entertaining for those who watch...and it'll make your own countries proud!
