My internet connection was down last night that I tried everything just to make it work ... but it was already late that I think I dozed off while making the attempts because when I opened my eyes ... tadaa! "morning."
Anyway, here's what I've been up to. My girlfriends and I went to celebrate a birthday at Gumbo at the SM Megamall Atrium which was the newly extended section of the mall that has opened lots of new restaurants and high-end boutiques ... hmmnn... are we really on a money crisis or what?!
SO...this friend's birthday was all about food and laughter. Gumbo serves hefty meals that we had to take breaks before munching on again! We took pictures of ourselves in funny hats and ... you know, it was all clean fun ... I like the feeling of "having friends", it's a sort of assurance that no matter how "bitchy" I sometimes am, they'd still want to hang-out with me. haha Well, these friends I'm talking about are extremely patient, generous and genuinely trusting! For which my gut tells me to act accordingly! It's basically the rule to friendship. Be nice.
What I got my friend for her birthday is this lovely string of pink, cultured pearls that I got from Simple Joys and a wood keychain painted in yellow that's carved as letter "G" the initial of her name Gael. Giving a gift to a friend who almost got everything isn't easy... ^_^ BUT, I guess this is where the saying "it's the thought that counts" apply! hehe ... I may not give her the hugest and the most expensive gift but, I wish her all the best and I appreciate the friendship that she has shared with me.
I think that the more you give yourself to others the more you learn about yourself.
