all females, are you getting one?

What's for today is what was yesterday, as I'm still here at home not going to work for the 2nd day of my OB-Gyn Tests (how fun!) yeah, whatever. Well, I may be getting the HPV anti-cervical cancer vaccine, yikes. I don't know how long this vaccine had been available that I'm now 28 and I'm just getting one. My mom doesn't even have one nor my sister. My friends just had theirs and I think all women should get one. It has a great promise of keeping women off Cervical Cancer and other cancers that affect womens' reproductive system, 'sounds really good.

Please don't. It's brand new, not well tested and I would not allow my daughter to get it. Also, if you have been exposed in any way to the human papiloma virus(which is not just sexually transmitted) it can actually increase your odds of getting cervical cancer.

Have your regular screenings(pap test) and wait on this one until it's proven safe. I would be afraid that down the road some sort of side affect would affect future fertility.

Also, in this country it's only given to teens, not recommended or offered to adults.

Do some research, don't take my word for it, just be aware.
